Arrival in Osaka: My First Impressions and Photos of Japan’s Vibrant City

Day 1: Osaka is a city that I have always wanted to visit. Ever since I learned about its rich history, culture, cuisine, and nightlife, I was fascinated by its charm and energy. So when we had the opportunity to travel to Japan in 2023, I knew I had to include Osaka in my itinerary.

In this blog post, I will share with you my experience and photos of arriving in Osaka, Japan. I will tell you what I saw, felt, and learned on my first day in this amazing city. I hope you will enjoy reading it and get inspired to visit Osaka too.

How I Got to Osaka

We flew to Osaka from Amsterdam, Netherlands, via Helsinki, Finland, on a connecting flight that took about 12 hours in total. We arrived at the Kansai International Airport (KIX), which is located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay. The airport is modern and spacious, and has a lot of facilities and services for travelers.

To get to the city center from the airport, we had several options: train, bus, taxi, or car rental. We decided to take the train, as it was the fastest and most convenient way. We bought tickets for the JR Haruka Express, which took us to Osaka Station in about 50 minutes.

Osaka Station is one of the largest and busiest stations in Japan, and also a major shopping and entertainment complex. As soon as I got out of the station, I was amazed by the sight of skyscrapers, giant screens, and crowds of people. I felt like I…
